The location was perfect, the staff was very friendly and helpful, they let us check in early and out late, they gave us a better room without asking

The noise of the street was loud

If you are looking for something luxurious this is definitely not for you, but if you are looking to meet amazing people, make new friends, have a nice room and be in the best location in all Mumbai, youve found your place.The people in this hotel made our stay 1000000 better, they were so kind, amazing and friendly, weve made friends for life and we will definitely be coming back. The people who work here (who have now become friends) make sure to go above and beyond to make your stay be worth it, I would never trade this experience for anything else in the world.Pretty sure I was the only woman staying here and they made sure I was comfortable, that all my needs were fulfilled and they made sure Id get safe to the cab.Special thanks to Raja and Jim, who have taken a piece of our heart with them

The bathroom situation could definitely improve

Only the location is good (walking distance from Gateway of India, TAJ, causeway etc), Everything else is utter disappointing. ONLY good for travelers willing to rough out a 1 or 2 night stay.

The Staff are very rude and unfriendly, talk in a very rough way and always stare at you when walking through the hotel. ALSO! Photos shown here are only of deluxe rooms, in reality they have shared/common bathrooms and they are filthy! (Toilets DON'T flush, taps don't work properly, slimy sink, slimy toilet seat etc. ), NO hot water, the AC is always on lowest (NO temp control), NO table or chair to keep your stuff, NO housekeeping, even a change of towel or sheets/pillow you have to literally BEG them for a new one, and they INSIST on a marriage certificate even for just visitors of the opposite gender. So bottom line: ONLY good for single travelers looking for a cheap room for a 1 or 2 nights stay. Definitely not recommended for family or even a couple.

Ubicacion

when it arrives almost gives me something. There were cockroaches all over the room, climbing up the walls. I had a very bad time and I couldn't sleep

Staff was very kind and helpful specially Raju was very helpful. And the room was clean and very safe.

The location is amazing. Raja bhaiya in the staff is very kind and helpful. He gave us an amazing room, and helped us. We forgot our ids in the hotel, but Raja bhaiya couriered them to us.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!

I've travelled a lot in my life so far, and I don't consider myself as a picky guy, but this has been the WORST experience ever. With my friends, we've chosen this hotel knowing it's a budget hotel, but I would never imagined that they could consider acceptable give guests room with black mold on walls and the persistent stink of it! I immediately asked for a change, but there were no rooms, so I had to sleep in a tiny room with black mold on the walls and no windows to refresh the stale air. During the night, the staff has been very loud, screaming and laughing until 2 a.m. showing no absolute respect for the guests in the structure. The day after, I claimed the new room, but the other room had mold too. So, I was forced to search for a new structure. My brother and his girlfriend continued to stay there, but they told me the situation got worst...

Only plus point is location

They over charged approx 600 rs in the name of commission while check-in. This is unfair practice. We don't have any other options rather than paying. As it is very difficult to look for another property with luggage. The room was smelly probably the bedsheet and pillow cover was not washed.

Rooms size are very small, before booking rooms check separate toilet or shared. There is no restaurant. No breakfast facility.

Entrance is not visible, the entry is too bad and its in 2nd floor without lift/elevator.

The location is very central.

The pictures don't match at all what is the reality of this place. It didn't look hygienic, everyone was crossing the common area of the building ( outside the hotel ) to get to the toilet, very hard to find, staff completely exhausted sleeping in the floor of the reception area, not female friendly... In the end we gave up and looked for another place, couldn't sleep there for sure.

Nothing!

Rooms are extremely extremely small..no bathroom toilets in it. Walls were very dirty.Cost is unjustified and too high. 3rd category service with zero response. Doesn't pick up call, no one is at reception desk, receptionist sleeps on ground near your room...and so on....

They didnt provide me with the room and I had to go looking for rooms in other hotels where they had charged me extra

The staff were lovely and very helpful (they even told where we should go to eat), the location was excellent and the bedroom was spacious.

I didn't like that the kitchen was located basically in the bathroom

Bad

I asked for a room with a window. When arrived my room wasn't ready. Cockroaches (small which indicates they were breeding) I was put in a room with the most appalling bathroom/toilet facilities. I was told to use the new bathroom facilities....... I had to walk right across the so-called hotel, past reception. The entrance to the hotel was in the middle of a market and the steps have not been cleaned for the past 20 years. Three stars?????? No stars.

Feel at home. Staff was very cooperative. Location is amazing as well, just a 5 min walk to gateway of india.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Shabana. We found the place clean and safe in the heart of Mumbai. The staff was kind and ready to help for any information. They also offered help for managing with our train tickets. Big thanks to Raja for being so kind!
